Let the Day Ride (EP)
Across six songs, the record moves through open windows, late-afternoon light, warm rooms, cold glasses on wood, and evenings that seem to stretch without anyone asking them to.
A fan turns in the corner. Someone stays a little longer. The heat finally loosens its grip. Light catches on a shirt sleeve before leaving the room.
Nothing here is trying to make summer feel bigger than it is. That’s part of the charm.
Blending indie soul, soft soul-pop and relaxed summer grooves, Let the Day Ride is built around closeness, warmth and space. The songs feel lived-in rather than polished clean, with small scenes, easy conversations, shared rooms and the kind of details you only notice when nobody is in a hurry.
At the center of the EP is “Second Ice in the Glass,” where one simple gesture changes the feeling of an entire afternoon. From there, each song opens another part of the same world: the comfort of silence, the relief of cooler air, sunlight lingering on fabric, an unplanned evening with friends, and the small physical traces that remain once the day has moved on.
More than anything, Let the Day Ride is about noticing when ordinary life gets good.
